Firstly I would like to say hello and thank you for checking out my website and learning more about me. So firstly I’m Emily, I’m 21 years old and I’m from the UK. I have been interested in Social Media for years, since I was really young. I used to create little YouTube videos with my friends and create little thumbnails and different graphics for them. This is where I found my love for graphic design and Social Media. I told my self for years ‘One day Ill do this full time for a job’ but I never knew where to start or even how to make it a thing. Then I found freelance, I knew I wanted to give this a go so I jumped in. Admittedly it wasn’t as easy as I thought it was and I definitely didn’t realise how much actually goes into it, but none the less I absolutely love it!
You may have looked through my page and seen my previous work and read about my services, but I know if I was looking for a Virtual Assistant or Social Media Manager, I would definitely want to know alot about them and their experience and qualifications. So I’m going to tell you all about mine!
My Qualifications:
- In 2018 I attended college where I studied Creative media – UAL Level 2 Btec. This was a 1 year course covered, Planning and producing a media product, Print-based advertising, Photography for media products, Graphic design for media products, Film and TV media. This course taught me the basics of each part of media leaving me with many options in the media industry. In this course I achieved a D*/ A*,
- In 2019 I started a 2 year course at college which was a UAL level 3 Btec In Journalism and communications. This covered everything from social media to the world of journalism. In my first year of this course I achieved a Merit which is a grade B. I’m currently awaiting my grade for my second year.
- Throughout the two courses above, I learnt skills in; photography, Media based products such as magazines, blog creation, film, editing, print based advertising, podcast creation, Journalism and social media.
- I have also completed additional courses on google garage, the courses I have completed/or still in process of completing is: Fundamentals of digital marketing, get a business online, make customers find you online, promote a business with content and understand customers needs and online behaviours.
- I have also carried out Lily Mays master class, which taught me everything I needed to know for being a Virtual assistant and Allowed me to develop my skills and progress in my business.
Experience:
- I run and manage my own social media page on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. On these I create graphics, interact with my target audience and research into my Niche regularly.
- I have also created 3 blogs/websites. One being this website and another for a friend of mine (You can find the post talking about this website on my portfolio). The other was for college!
- I also have a successful client base, I have worked with many different clients and businesses from web designers to realtors (You can find client results and client testimonials on my website and Instagram)
- I have used social media for over 8 years for personal use so I know my way around social media platforms very easily.
- I completed work experience at a media company where I received professional advice and learnt about all areas of the media sector.
