Being a new Influencer can be hard, not only is the media world changing daily but so is your audience. Its hard to stay on top of different trends and the algorithms of each site.
Being an influencer means your using social media daily for your business, this means knowing social sites inside out is key for this industry.
A career as an influencer isn’t easy, and its going to take time and a lot of work, but what are the key tips?
- Be sure to manage your time well – Time management is super important being an influencer, you need to manage your time not only when creating content, uploading content and editing content but also for all the behind the scenes, such as meetings, etc. Be sure to have a calendar and keep your time management skills up to scratch!
- Be sure to stay up to date with you audience – Being connected to your audience is super important, you need to make sure you are uploading serval times a day, Due to the fact that all of you revenue will come from social media you need to make sure you are staying up to date and uploading lots!
- Treat your audience as real people – This may sound simple but a lot of people forget their audience are real people so be sure to interact with them regularly and keep up to date with them.
- Don’t just post about brand deals – This one is super annoying. I personally have found that when in scrolling through my feed there’s some influencers/youtubers that only post when they have a brand deal. There’s nothing wrong with this but in my opinion being an influencer is about connecting with your audience, not just promoting products. Your audience need to be able to trust you, so if your just posting about brand deals, this isn’t likely to build up a very good relationship with your audience.
