Okay, so you may be wondering why social media is so important for business. You may even think it isn’t important, but its actually KEY to your business. Whether you run a Restaurant, café, shop or you are a virtual company social media plays a big part. Every business needs a social media page, at the moment I work with realtors and other small businesses to help manage their social media page.

But WHY is it so important?

Having a social media page allows you to reach new people and have a Online presence. Social media is such a big part of everyone’s lives now. Most of us use social media on a daily basis, so why not take advantage of this?

Having an online presence is super important, it allows people to find you almost effortlessly. Social media is a place for you to promote your products and services, educate and interact with your customers. A lot of the time your Social media page is the first thing a client/customer will see so its super important to make it look good and just have a social media page.

A lot for the time, your clients will actually find you on social media, so it needs to make a good impression. Imagine social media as a shop window, if your walking by a shop and see something you like in the shop window you usually go into the shop to take a deeper look. Its the same with social media, if people see what they like on your social media page, the chances of them coming to your business or looking deeper into your services is MUCH higher than before.

One major thing I need to say is, Dont just spam your social media page with pictures of your products. Use social media to interact with your target audience, educate them, post quotes and get on a personal level with them. This is super important because it will be providing them with value, so the chances of them coming back are much higher and by building a connection with you over social media, it will make them feel as though they know you so the chances of them buying your product/service is much higher. It builds a level of trust as well!
